Revisor’s founder, Landon Jones, began his career as a financial advisor in 2002 with a large national firm. After several years working within the traditional financial-services model, he became frustrated with proprietary products, institutional restrictions, and conflicts that could make it difficult to build financial strategies entirely around each client’s needs. In 2006, he left and started his own independent, fee-based practice.
Independence gave Landon greater freedom to serve clients the way he believed they should be served, but it also exposed a broader challenge. Managing wealth effectively required more than selecting investments. Portfolios needed to be managed efficiently while decisions involving taxes, retirement, estate planning, insurance, and other priorities often needed to work together.
That system became the foundation of Revisor, which officially launched in 2015 around a broader vision: creating a more coordinated financial experience by bringing investment management together with the other decisions that shape a family’s financial life. Today, Revisor Wealth carries forward the framework that began in Landon’s own advisory practice, supported by expanded expertise and resources designed to help individuals and families manage their finances with greater coordination, clarity, and confidence.

Revisor’s mission is to make the financial experience simpler, more coordinated, and more effective for the individuals and families we serve. The traditional financial-services system often treats each part of a person’s financial life separately. Investments may be managed in one place, taxes handled somewhere else, estate documents prepared by another professional, and insurance reviewed independently.
Yet decisions in each of these areas can directly affect the others, making coordination essential to effective financial planning. We believe better financial management starts with understanding the complete picture—not only what you own, but what you want your wealth to accomplish. Our approach combines personalized financial advice and investment management with access to coordinated tax preparation, estate planning, and insurance services. We build customized portfolios, consider tax efficiency alongside investment decisions, and help connect the different areas of your financial life so decisions can be made with greater context.

- A satisfied client
If you want a real relationship with your advisor — not a call center, not a rotating cast of reps — and you value having one coordinated plan instead of five disconnected accounts, you're probably a good fit. We work best with clients who want to be informed partners in their own plan, not just handed a binder.
We're fee-only, which means we're paid directly by our clients — not by commissions on products we sell you. That's an important distinction: it means our recommendations aren't shaped by what pays the most like many larger firms.
Yes — legally and by conviction. That means we're obligated to act in your best interest at all times, not merely to recommend something "suitable." It's a real legal standard, and it's one a lot of the industry isn't held to.
A conversation, not a sales pitch. We want to understand your situation and see if we're a good fit for each other. There's no cost and no obligation.
No. We don't have a minimum. What matters is whether we're the right fit for each other — not the size of your account. If you want a real financial planning relationship, that's the conversation worth having, regardless of where you're starting from.
Most likely: independence, coordination, and access. We're not tied to proprietary products or proprietary research, we coordinate your investments/taxes/estate plan under one roof, and you'll actually have direct access to the person managing your plan — not a service team.
